Paladin: This class used to be about value trades, buffing dudes, and smiting people. If it was not obvious, I think that Ice Block is the most unfun class card that Blizzard has ever designed. Oh, you played some RNG spell that happened to win you the game after you stalled for 13 turns and did nothing else? Cooool. Oh wow, you froze all my minions for four turns and then killed me? Cool. I don't think mage has ever had an archetype that was both a) actually good and b) not a chore to play against. Mage: Speaking of snoozefests, I don't know how they do it, but Blizzard has managed to consistently make a class known for big fancy spells and explosions the most boring thing imaginable.
Today's flavor for Hunter is either shooting everything with hero power or one of 10 interchangeable damage spells, or playing bears until both players fall asleep. I blame Deathstalker Rexxar for starting it, but at least he was a unique card. But now for some reason the class that has a base hero power that does nothing but hit face has been consistently given better control tools than most other classes.

Hunter: Remember when this class was the free to play people's champion, with a motto of Me go face? Simpler times when Hunter was brainless, but at least kind of fun. And don't even get me started on old Force of Nature and Savage Roar.

4 mana 7/7? Nah man, just play Power of the Wild on a full board, 2 mana 7/7 since original standard. Try to aggro them down? Don't worry, their class sucks against wide boards, they only have had Spreading Plague, Swipe, and Scale of Onyxia just to name a few class cards, along with any neutral card that they can ramp to with an aoe effect. Remember prenerf innervate? What about prenerf wild growth? Druid win conditions have historically consisted of cheating with Malygos Druid, cheating with Togwaggle Druid, cheating with Taunt Druid, cheating with Denathrius Druid, cheating with Mechathun Druid, cheating with Jade Druid, cheating with Celestial Alignment Druid.Įven when not mana cheating, Druids still find other ways to cheat. Well Druids have been cheating since day one as a class feature. Why not make a class that has good removal, great card draw, strong weapons, mana cheating, solid minions, burst damage, healing, and tokens, along with the best hero power at smoothing out your curve every turn? There are legitimately some people who played Demon Hunter on release and asked, "Hey guys, what's wrong with this? It's fun!" Those people are deranged.ĭruid: People complain about Hearthstone's power creep over time, and how mana cheating is now everywhere. Case in point, Demon Hunter as a class was designed to do everything. They either don't care about how far the game has been power creeped and the destruction of class identity, or actively cheer both of them on. Hearthstone Voyage to the Sunken City is the first expansion of 2022 and brings in the Standard rotation to the game! It brings 135 new cards, which allows for a bunch of new deck ideas to be experimented with.
